Tinea capitis is also known as ringworm of the scalp. It is a type of infection that causes skin to peel off and there are blisters and rashes all over the scalp of the head. Caused by the fungi called dermatophytes, it ends up being one of the chief reasons for hair loss, even in teens.

Psoriasis is a non-contagious scalp infection where there is an occurrence of red lesions covered with scale. Scalp psoriasis is typified by white patches of very red skinned scalp. It is accompanied by lot of itch and baldness.
There are many antibiotics and drugs available in the market to fight these infections. A person suffering from such infections must consult a doctor and take prescribed precautions and medications to save himself an embarrassment of a baldhead.
